Many of you have asked that we put up our support raising progress, and we agree, this is a way to give God the glory for something we cannot on our own even come close to. We long for you to be able to rejoice over this miracle as it unfolds before us, and that you would pray for us as we are in this support raising season.
We are so thankful for each of you. Those who have given of yourselves so that we may go serve- weather it be an invitation to share at your church, or that you are willing to hear our fundraising presentation, or that you are praying for us, or you are taking on a fundraising event on our behalf to raise start up costs, or you are giving financially- thank YOU. You are a piece of this miracle that is before us, you are being used by God to do things that are a really big deal to His heart. You are reaching the nations. This mountain that God has called us to climb is higher than we can climb, steeper than we can see the top of and yet we sense that your prayers, encouragement, and support are such a huge part of us making each step. Our goals are impossible in human terms, but we know that nothing is impossible for Him. We fix our eyes on Him.
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 (ESV)
Our Support Raising Progress:
These numbers though, they are not about our family or yours, they are about Jesus getting the glory as each of us, being the jars of clay that He has made-allow His light to shine through us into the darkness.
For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed 2 Corinthians 4:5-9 (ESV)
Thank you to each of you who has been a part of this call to send us to Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia. We can’t even say what a blessing it is to have the support that you are giving. No matter how you have supported us, to us it is a really big deal. And to the Father, it is beautiful.
